Who am I?

My name is Colleen Callahan, and for more than 30 years I have served Central Illinois as a farm broadcaster on both radio and TV. During that time, I served as a voice for those who didn’t feel they had one. Now, I feel that I can use my voice of experience to proudly represent our communities in Congress.

Why am I running?

True to a Callahan family tradition, I’m running for Congress to help people. Rather than focus on becoming a career politician and advancing my own interests, I hope to use the office to become a public servant in the truest sense of the phrase, making sure the voices of the people of the Illinois 18th District are heard.

It’s time for the interests of Central Illinois to be met and time to work for change. Change to a health care system that leaves upwards of two million Illinois residents uncovered. Change to an education system that sends students into the world saddled with debt. Change to a foreign policy that leaves American soldiers fighting a war with no end in sight. Change to an economy that simply doesn’t work for middle America.

Today, I ask for your support to become our next Congresswoman.
